  1. Choose A Perfect Place To Sit

Morning is the most perfect time for doing meditation. But some people also prefer evenings for it. First, you have to find a comfortable place to sit while doing meditation to reduce stress. You should remember that noise is a barrier to meditation. Then, sit with comfort on a chair and let your hands rest on your knees or in your lap in a relaxed way. You have to keep your back straight. Let your neck be relaxed with your chin slightly tucked in.

  1. Take Deep Breaths

Now you have to defocus your eyes and gaze gently into the middle distance. Then take a few deep breaths through your nose and out through your mouth. These breaths should be audible. Allow your eyes to close while doing the last exhalation of your meditation to reduce stress.

  1. Check Your Body

Now take a few moments to observe your posture. Notice each and every sensation and feel the weight of your limbs. Try to acknowledge your senses. Then slowly turn your mind inwards. You should scan your body from head to toe and observe your tensions and discomforts in this stage of meditation to reduce stress.

  1. Try To Observe Your Breath

Now it’s time to bring your attention to your breathing. First, you have to focus on the quality of your breath whether it is deep or shallow, fast or slow, long or short. While doing meditation to reduce stress, you should guide your attention back to your breath if you realise your mind has wandered off.

  1. Try To Free Your Mind

After sitting for a minimum of 30 seconds, you may find yourself calm and quiet. Now let your mind be free. Slowly open your eyes and take a couple of deep breaths. After you finish your meditation, you can lay down on the floor and take a rest for 5-6 minutes. This is the last stage of your meditation to reduce stress.
